Job Description:
This position is responsible for developing customer programs and reports for use with Aptean products. They will be an expert in the respective domain viz., ERP or CRM. In conjunction with Manager, they will define the training requirements of the team. They will evaluate the new requirements and help the team in creating proper requirement documents and use cases. Evaluates performance of each team member, generates development plans and sets goals within the context of the corporate policy.
The candidate must possess a strong knowledge with respect Windows standards for data management applications, event oriented programming, and visual design tools. Expertise with VB.NET, C#, SQL and/or Oracle databases is desired. The programs that will be developed are at the request of Aptean customers. Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as customer service skills are necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Getting expertise in multiple ERP or CRM products or both
- Ensure requirements are properly documented and communicated to all stake holders
- Create use case and assist engineering team by clarifying functional doubts
- Ensure SA team follows set processes and creates requirement documents in a timely manner
- Perform Quality Assurance work for programs written by others to ensure proper functionality
- Participate in Quality planning and ensure complete test coverage
- Mentor the team and ensure that they are appropriately trained
- Participate in feature team and any other customer engagements to gather requirements, along with Product Manager
- May have to manage multiple products with respect to System Analysis
- Other tasks as deemed necessary by his/her supervisor
Education: B.E. in Computer Science or Information Science. MBA in Marketing is an added advantage.
Experience: 3-5 years experience in a software environment in a Product Management or Business Analyst or Program Coordinator role for an ERP or web application.
Skills/Requirements:
- Experience in Microsoft .NET tools (specifically VB and C#), SQL and Oracle database knowledge, and Crystal Reporting knowledge desired.
- Manufacturing knowledge desired but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is desirable but not necessary.
- Strong problem solving skills is a must.
Other skills / expectations:
- Required to obtain a working knowledge of the Aptean products as necessary. Required to understand the benefits and the use of the product features.
- Required to obtain basic manufacturing process knowledge and apply it to the projects.
- Required to stay current with new product features as well as new programming tools and languages as they apply to the Aptean product assigned.
- Understand the intent of the Aptean product(s) tools/infrastructure, be able to utilize the tools/infrastructure, and able to assist other in the use of the tools/infrastructure.
- Occasional travel may be necessary.
