JOB DESCRIPTION:
Come join the company that produces the top selling iPad app made in Chicago and use front-end development experience to help us create a new cross platform product that will change how people tell stories.
Requirements:
- Expert Javascript, AJAX, jQuery
- Proficient HTML5, CSS
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Passion for web development
- Development of standards-compliant web UIs utilizing cross-browser compatible HTML, Javascript, and CSS, including optimizations for mobile devices
- Web performance optimization
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., C++, Java, Python, Ruby)
- Angular, bootstrap, jquery, underscore.js, handlebars, Node.js, Backbone.js, Ember.js, etc.
- Understanding of Amazon Web Services, specifically: EC2, EBS, S3, SQS,SimpleDB and RDS
- Knowledge browser technologies such as WebKit, Gecko, V8, and SpiderMonkey
- Understanding of behavioral differences between rendering or Javascript engines
- Experience authoring for mobile devices
- Exposure to the Chromium WebKit API
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- The software team environment is fast-paced and casual. The products we are building are innovative and will push the boundaries of the platform. You will be working with very smart and experienced peers, but you will be at the core of a small mobile development team.
