Responsibilities:
- Effectively leads global, integrated test function
- Drives an integrated approach to SW and HW testing including device performance, reliability as well as regulatory certification
- Passion and eye for automation, current with latest tools in the industry.
- Partners with developers to anticipate how to test technology of the future.
- Focuses on highest quality levels, effective feedback loops with the development teams for continued improvement.
- Healthy sense of urgency and discontent with status quo
- Attracts and motivates talent to operate in a one-test-system approach
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
- Deep understanding of cellular / device technologies and technical requirements.
- Hands on experience leading testing capabilities
- Core competency of automation
- Builds collaboration across organizational boundaries
- Effective broker of multiple conflicting demands and priorities
- Attention to detail and follow through
- Strong customer interface and external influence
- Ability to streamline organizational complexity
- Implements global common processes and automation solutions that enable both efficiency and effectiveness
- Identifies equipment/tool leverage opportunities
- Consistently looking for ways to decrease the global footprint while maintaining or improving service levels
- Maintains a seamless internal and external resource model that flexes with the ebb and flow of capacity demands.
