 Pre-revised scale of pay of Rs.6500-10500 (now revised 
to PB-2 9300-34800 + GP Rs.4600/-) 

Eligibility Deputation: 

Officer under the Central/State Govt./Union 
Territories:- 

Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; 

          (OR) 

i)with 3 (three) years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay of  Rs.5500-7000 (now revised to PB-2 9300-34800 + GP Rs.4600 or equivalent in the parent cadre/department. 

       (OR)

ii)with 8 (eight) years service in the grade rendered after appointment there to on a regular basis in the scale of pay of  Rs.4500-7000 (now revised to PB-2 9300-34800 + GP Rs.4200/-) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department. 

• The departmental officers in 5th feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion will not be eligible 
• for consideration for appointment on deputation similarly the deputationist shall not be eligible for Consideration for appointment on by promotion) (Period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other  Organization/department of the Central/Govt.,shall ordinarily not to exceed three years). The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not be exceeding 56 years as on the 
• closing date or receipt of application. 

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma in Printing and Allied Trades from a recognized Institution or equivalent; 
• 5 years experience in a well established Printing Press/Establishment including 2 years in a supervisory capacity. 

Note: 

• Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of UPSC in case of candidate otherwise well qualified. 
• Qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the UPSC is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from the communities possessing requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill u p the vacancy reserved for them.
