Role synopsis:

This role will help VP OBO Projects – India perform identification of project enhancement opportunities and recommendation of BP preferred development options

Lead GPO required project assurance and risk mitigation approach, and influencing and strategic intervention

Key accountabilities:

• Identify and recommend subsea concept development options for projects in D6 block leveraging existing infrastructure
• Assure project delivery that maximizes value for BP, including operator achievement of cost, schedule, quality and HSSE targets from Project Appraise through 1 year after 1st gas. Use GPO MPcp guidelines.
• Identify, secure and oversee BP resources required to execute project influencing strategy
• Provide visible leadership for on-time, on-budget and incident and injury free execution of D6 projects and their handoff to Operations
• Implement standard project management processes effectively, in particular risk management and risk influencing plans and applicable BP assurance processes
• Identify and lead opportunities for project enhancement and build consensus within Joint Venture to incorporate
• Be responsible for operator performance on the following dimensions with frequency and rigor calibrated to overall project strategy and influence plan: Project HSSE, Engineering design, equipment delivery and installation, permit applications, commissioning and startup
• Execute project handover to production team, including discussion of residual project risks, Safe Operating Limits, new safety critical equipment, etc.
• Mentoring of BP project personnel in shareholders office as well as seconded into Reliance
• Enable team members to develop skills while delivering project objectives in line with expectations
• Communicate project analysis, progress and results to VP OBO and other key internal and external interfaces.

Essential Education:

Bachelor or higher degree in a relevant technical or engineering discipline.

Essential experience and job requirements:

Significant developments experience in the offshore oil and gas industry preferably with subsea focus.

Experience working in multiple international locations and possesses global perspective and JV working experience.

Possesses strong interpersonal and management skills to enable effective project delivery, resource management and internal interfacing.

Other essential skills and knowledge:

Recognized as a safety leader with deep industry knowledge of project execution.

The Global Projects Organisation (GPO) is accountable for the line delivery of Upstream's global portfolio of over 45 major projects. GPO has 4 key roles: .
