Responsibilities:

• Ensure that existing VAT/GST applications are appropriate to our routine VAT/GST and associated reporting across Europe.
• Manage the implementation of standard VAT/GST processes, tools and applications to support VAT/GST Operations and GE businesses.
• Manage and deliver the ongoing configuration and implementation of the VAT/GST Reporting Tool (VRT) for countries in Europe.
• Identify new modules/reports/features to enhance the VRT to meet new/future compliance needs and co-ordinate data gathering, delivery and testing of these.
• Work with training and communications team to develop user training for all modules on the VRT.
• Drive standardization, automation, and process improvements to ensure tax compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of finance or accounting experience.
• VAT accounting experience including return preparation / review.
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR and GL functional domains.
• Displays passion and pride in delivering world class customer service
• Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to influence peers and senior managers.
• Strong organizational skills - ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Hands-on, positive, can-do attitude
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office (e.g.. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Must be willing to travel occasionally.

Desired Characteristics: Local tax or professional accounting qualification. Strong accounting skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
