Job Description:
The Cypress
touchscreen kits team is responsible for developing the next generation of
touch controller development and evaluation kits. The kits are used internally
and made available for resale. We are seeking a candidate with strong
mechanical design, and project management skills. The candidate will be
responsible for the gathering of concise requirements, leading weekly
cross-functional team meetings, holding design and defect reviews, designing
the mechanical housings, negotiating with vendors, and managing the validation
of each component and the entire product.
Required experience:
- Candidate requires a B.S or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 5+ years' experience.
- Candidate must have experience with Circuit board design, firmware, and mechanical design.
- Candidate must have experience leading small projects and providing regular status to upper management.
- Candidate requires 3+ years project management experience.
- Candidate must have experience designing, and developing complete system level evaluation kits.
- Experience with CAD and PCB layout tools is a benefit
- Experience working with ODMs, part suppliers, or component vendors is a benefit
- Experience in embedded firmware design (Embedded C), especially SoC firmware design is also a benefit.
