Mott MacDonald is implementing a number of IT transformation projects. As part of the programme, two Application Packaging Engineers are required to build business application packages for deployment to the company’s computers via Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
The selected candidates will work as part of the Packaging Team, completing MSI packages and troubleshooting packaging issues that arise. Work will be carried out within agreed timescales to meet the internal customer’s needs.

Job Description:
• To produce application packages to an agreed schedule, following a defined packaging process;
• To test application packages in accordance with defined quality procedures;
• To troubleshoot application package issues that arise;
• To coordinate packaging efforts with other Mott MacDonald IT teams around the world;
• To openly communicate identified packaging opportunities, issues and problems with the packaging team manager;
• Occasional out of hours and weekend working to meet packaging demands.
Candidate Specification:
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience, including in depth knowledge of MSI technology;
• Experience of packaging process and workflow essential;
• Experience of Microsoft SCCM for deployment desirable;
• Experience of application virtualisation desirable;
• Troubleshooting skills for desktop applications in a Microsoft Windows environment;
• A good team worker and able to think clearly under pressure;
• Ability to plan and prioritise own work;
• Degree qualified in appropriate discipline;
• To be fluent in English;
• To be a good communicator both in writing and verbally and also be a good listener.
