Job Role: LSS Expert
Education Required:
Basic engineering degree/diploma/graduate or has reached this level through another form of training or experience.
Business Environment:
- IT-Operations is one of the five departments of the IT Infrastructure & Operations organization within Philips IT.
- IT-Operations is responsible to
- Manage all Philips IT systems full stack against agreed service levels
- Manage Philips IT systems at Global as well at Regional and Local level
- Continuously improve reliability, availability, manageability and security of all IT systems and the efficiency and effectiveness of its Service.
- Identifies concrete improvement opportunities through applying ‘Deep Dives’ and focused Six Sigma (‘6σ’ ) techniques .
- Sets-up and organizes improvement activities as ‘6σ’ based improvement projects to be part of the OpEx ‘6σ’ improvement portfolio
- Drives and coaches improvement teams in achieving the improvement goals as defined by a business case.
- Identifies and formulates best practices (BIC/BDP) to be shared and deployed in the operations.
- Team Management
- Is the ‘6σ’ (methods) expert. Trains and develops staff in how to use ‘6σ’ methods.
- Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of methodologies such as DFSS, DMAIC/ MEDIC etc.
- Knowledge of software development and support processes/ Service Operations processes
- Good knowledge of Measurements
- Good knowledge of Quality fundamentals like TQM, Quality standards & models (ITIL/ ISO 20K/Cobit)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in (Lean) Six Sigma improvement program management. ‘Black Belt’ or ‘Green Belt’
- Good experience with Statistical tools and methods
- Coaching and consultancy skills
