Position Title: Systems Administrator
Location: Chester, PA
Job Description:
As a Systems Administrator – Hosting Services Group at Synygy, you will work in our Pune, India office with other members of the Hosting Services Group as well as other Systems staff to build and maintain server equipment for running Synygy applications.
Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain and support Windows 2003 and 2008 servers
- Build servers on the Synygy domain
- Build stand-alone servers on the Synygy DMZ for Synygy Production and Implementation projects
- Build and maintain Windows 2003 and 2008 servers for Synygy projects
- Install and configure MS SQL 2000/2005 and 2008 servers
- Perform MS SQL server 2000/2005/2008 database administration tasks
- Troubleshoot server hardware, OS and network problems
- Create and maintain detailed documentation on Synygy servers
- Coordinate and Perform systematic upgrades of Synygy servers
- For Synygy applications, 3rd Party applications and OS
- Perform version upgrades
- Apply Service Packs and Hotfixes
Specific qualifications include:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a LAN/WAN production environment preferred
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Excellent OS (Windows) and networking skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience using web applications preferred
- Apache/Tomcat, and IIS
- Experience using MS SQL Server and database administration preferred
- Excellent problem solving abilities and attention to detail
- Degree in Computer Science (or other technical field) with MCSE preferred
