SnapOne, Inc. is looking for an IT Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, India.
Must possess:
Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on verbal and written communication
At least a BS in Computer Science or equivalent
Must have ability to:
- Work productively in a team
- Solve problems quickly and completely
- Be on call and respond in a timely fashion 24/7 in case of emergency
- Follow and improve guidelines for platform maintenance and deployment
Must have solid experience in:
- OSX, Windows and Linux platform
- Multiple hosting environments
- Networking/distributed computing environment concepts
- The principles of routing, client/server programming
Engineer is expected to:
- Have 2+ years of industry experience
- Effectively plan and manage projects
- Work closely with upper management
- Aid in the support of all platforms
- Assist in the development, maintenance and adherence to a platform wide disaster recovery plan
- Make necessary changes and maintain an up to date monitoring platform
- Respond promptly and professionally to outages
- Conduct system analysis and development, with limited support from professional staff
- Maintain consistent backup procedures of all platforms
- Have a strong analytical background and be proficient in mocking up reports in Excel
Should have experience in several of the following technologies, frameworks and platforms:
- Servers -Windows, Linux, OSX
- Active Directory
- Networking
- MySQL, SQL Server
- HTML, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5
- IIS, Apache
- Nagios
