As a WaveMetrics scientific programmer, you would work with our small team to continue to improve and develop Igor. You would support scientists around the world working in a myriad of fields.
IGOR Pro 6 is an extraordinarily powerful and extensible scientific graphing, data analysis, image processing and programming software tool for scientists and engineers.
Position Title: Scientific Programmer
This position has been filled. However, if your skills and experience are a very good match, please respond so we can keep you in mind for a future opening.
Location: Bangalore
Your duties would include:
- C++ software development
- Igor software development
- Writing commercial-quality end-user documentation
- Providing technical support by phone and email
- Whatever else we need to support our customers and improve our product
Personal qualities that are required include:
- Conscientiousness
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a small group
We are looking for a scientific programmer with experience and skills in some of the following areas:
- C++ programming
- Scientific programming
- GUI programming
- Qt programming
- Linux programming
- Igor programming
- Igor competitor use and programming (Matlab, Origin, ...)
- 2D graphics
- 3D graphics
- Curve fitting
- Mathematics
- Image processing
- Database applications
- Web applications
