Posting Title: Configurator Extension Developer
Job Summary:
The Configurator model and Extension developer is responsible for managing technical architecture and development of the product models and Configurator Extensions on the Oracle EBS R12 Configurator module.
Key focus area of development is product rules modeling and configurator extensions that interact with the runtime model. Expertise in implementation, Development and Customization of Configurator modeling and extensions along with a strong focus on Quote to Order process (preferably experience in High Tech sector) is required.
The successful candidate will work closely with Functional Managers, and Business system analysts to take on the technical deliverables for projects including technical design, development, and testing.
Essential Function:
- Perform hands-on technical design and development tasks as required in support of the new project developments and enhancements.
- Deliver scalable solution. Provide mentorship and supervise developers.
- Collaborate with the Business Users, BSA (Business Systems Analysts) and the other technical leads to ensure successful integration of Oracle EBS R12 Configurator with other EBS modules.
- Responsible for quality assurance and review of models, extensions and web interface developed by other developers in the team.
- Take complete ownership of technical deliverables for projects and enhancements coming out of global business prioritization meetings.
- Drive continuous process improvements and operational efficiencies in the quote to order cycle and also drive Scalability initiatives in an effort to make the systems and processes more reliable, predictable and efficient.
Job Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in Information Technology in a hands-on development role - Good understanding of Oracle Configurator functionality/processes
- Minimum 2-3 years experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 and deep understanding of EBS product architecture and software component, especially knowledge of CIO, Oracle Configurator Schema, and rule development process.
- Technical Expertise in Java.
- Must have strong Process knowledge to design, develop and maintain Monthly New Product Introduction Life Cycle.
- Experience with Siebel eConfig is a plus.
- Strong Technical background, Project Management, Analytical, and Problem-solving skills are required.
- Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of cross functional and cross vendor teams, and deliver to aggressive timelines
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science
Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience is required; 9 to 12 years of experience is preferred.
- A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree is required; or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
