Role : Senior Software Development Engineer

We are seeking great developers who are interested in joining our new center at Bangalore, responsible for developing various features end-to-end.
As a key member of this team, you will be working for a startup building state of the art features for managing security for various leading network and security device vendors.
Responsibility :
- Scoping, designing and implementing feature enhancements on Itech open Vulnerability and Network Analysis products
- Active participation in building prototypes for newer initiatives
- Ability to work on multiple releases in parallel
- Taking up initiatives to improve software quality, productivity and usability
- Actively engaging with technical support team for addressing customer issues
- Actively engaging with product management, customers and partners as required for prioritization and road-map
- Communicate with stakeholders and team members on weekly progress updates
- Mentoring and coaching junior engineers
Mandatory skills and characteristics:
- At least 2+ years with designing sufficient complexity components and modules using design patterns
- 5+ years of development experience in Java with strong command on core java, Java datastructure libraries and regular expression
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP and networking concepts.
- Exposure to Spring MVC and other similar server side architecture components is a strong plus.
- Exposure to software development process and tools
- Experience working with product managers to define requirements and usability of features
- Ability to write whitepapers/documentation and give presentations to customers and partners.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Good communication skills
Highly desirable skills and characteristics:
- Exposure to networking and security
- Exposure to scripting languages like Javascript, Python or Perl
- Exposure to integrating products for building solutions
- Sound knowledge of Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper routers and firewalls
- Exposure to Reporting frameworks, databases. XML, SOAP or REST based APIs
- Knowledge of parsers
