POSITION TITLE: Mechanical Engineer

Description:
The primary function of Mechanical Engineer will be to develop reliability and maintenance strategies for process equipment and systems focusing on continued improvement to ensure operational reliability while driving down maintenance costs and increasing plant on-stream time.
Responsibilities:
- Develop optimization / improvement strategies based on systems analysis and performance metrics
- Engineer equipment improvements to increase equipment on-stream time and maintainability
- Evaluate and validate effectiveness of improvement efforts
- Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis on major equipment failures
- Perform shop visits – Follow equipment overhauls / repairs
- Provide technical leadership on specialty maintenance functions
- Provide technical support with the development of Shutdown Work Scope
- Provide technical support during execution of critical S/D work
- Having awareness and applying the ASME, ANSI and industry standards as well as Federal, State and local regulations as applicable in mechanical equipment design, selection, maintenance and testing.
- Recommending the inspection/testing requirements of vessels and safety devices.
- Conducting feasibility studies, project preparation, cost estimation, design and selection of equipment, as well as technical supervision of field construction
- Support and manage the implementation of plant wide optimization projects.
Qualifications:
- .S. in Engineering with 7 or more years industrial experience in a related field.
- bility to work as an individual contributor and as part of a diverse team composed of fellow engineers, operations personnel, maintenance personnel and leadership.
- trong communications skills, both oral and written.
- trong decision ' making and problem solving skills.
- ust be able to perform work in a manufacturing plant environment, including ascending/descending stairs and ladders.
- omputer proficiency in Windows passed programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong safety ethic
