Position Title: Financial Accountant
Location: Mayfair, London
Package: £40-45k per annum
The Role:
Reflecting our continued rapid growth, we wish to bring key aspects of our finance and accounting function in-house and under the control of an experienced Financial Accountant. Reporting directly into one of the company’s Managing Directors, the Financial Accountant will be expected to independently run AlphaSights’ group wide accounting and reporting processes. The role is likely to suit a qualified accountant working within a professionally run finance function who is now ready to take the next step.
Key Responsibilities:
- General bookkeeping / journal entries using SAGE
- Preparing monthly consolidated financial statements including P&L accounts, balance sheet and cash flows
- Delivering monthly management accounts incl. variance analysis and commentaries
- Monitoring cash flow positions and undertaking multi-currency bank reconciliations
- Monitoring and supporting accounting in our subsidiaries in the US, HK, and UAE and group consolidations
- Preparing and processing VAT as well as annual statutory accounts and tax calculations / declarations
- Conceiving and delivering KPI reports and other varied analytical work
- Assisting senior management with annual planning
Requirements:
- Several years of relevant work experience covering all principal aspects of the accounting function within a services firm
- Accountancy qualification(s) obtained in practice
- Proficiency in SAGE or similar accounting software
- Self motivated, ‘get-things-done’ attitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- Team player with potential to take on personnel responsibility.
