Job Description:
- Albion College is seeking application for an Applications Programmer.
- The Applications Programmer will specialize in efficient integration of data between several software systems while also working to develop appropriate interfaces to enterprise data.
- These interfaces will balance intuitive and convenient use with secure, reliable, and sustainable practices.
- Specific duties include develop and maintain code for synchronization of data between Ellucian's Banner and other campus data systems; develop user interfaces to data using efficient means and platforms, with emphasis on browser-based and mobile delivery; provide user support via documentation and training; and meet with users to determine their needs, and gather information on the details for programming.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred. Computer Science or IT-related major, minor, or coursework preferred
- Experience with Visual Basic and Ellucian's Banner are preferred.
- Technical experience with ASP, ASP.NET, SQL, SQL Server, and Java is strongly encouraged
- The ability to clearly instruct others on the use of technology in language they will understand.
- The ability to function well under pressure, to organize and prioritize many tasks, and to thrive in a dynamic, customer service driven organization.
