Position summary:
Based in the San Francisco office, the web designer intern will collaborate with the Adoberevel.com and Photoshop.com marketing and engineering teams to produce and deploy updates to existing web pages, as well as designing and deploying new web pages.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop web pages for Adoberevel.com and Photoshop.com, working in close collaboration with the marketing and engineering teams.
- Review all tutorials that have been migrated from Adobe TV for use on Photoshop.com. This includes watching for quality, reading/reviewing the descriptions and potentially making edits to them, fixing keywords, and deploying to production.
- Update the recommended tutorials for different areas of the site bi-weekly.
- Upload and deploy Customer Spotlights.
- Update the photography and text content in the photography carousel on the Photoshop.com homepage, as well as on other Photoshop.com pages, using Test & Target.
- Update and deploy Lightroom and Photoshop Headlines & Happenings.
- Communicate effectively with the Creative Director and Engineering teams on the status of projects.
- Help ensure quality of website changes, prior to deployment to production environment.
- Support Adobe Revel marketing by creating effective screen shots and performing other production tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma as of June 2013 and plans to matriculate to a college or university in Fall 2013
- Demonstrable experience designing and building websites with clear examples of work—in particular, experience building responsive websites, integrating vector and bitmap graphics, properly managing files, and improving web performance and browser support
- Strong design skillls
- Knowledgeable about HTML5, CSS, and jQuery
- Fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Dreamweaver, and InDesign
- Ability to communicate effectively to teams in person, emails, and meetings
- Available early June through late August
- $15/hour for 30-40 hours per work week
- This internship opportunity is anticipated to be for up to 3 months between the months of May to September.
