Post Description:
Pay Scale: Rs. 37,400-67,000 PB-4 plus Rs. 8,700 Grade Pay 72 per cent 79,292/- Total emoluments excluding T.A. HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 79292/-p.m. approximately.
Age: Not exceeding 50 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualificaiton: Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized University or equivalent
Experience: Ten years experience in Supervisory capacity in geological appraisal/exploration of mineral deposits.
Note: The qualifications are relaxable at Commission’s discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualificaiton:
Doctorate Degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized University or equivalent
Experience in different aspects of prospecting for Economic Minerals and surveying and
Working knowledge of computers with special emphasis on commonly used Software in office.
Duty:
- Conducting Integrated Geological Studies for appraisal of mineral deposits and undertaking MCDR inspections/studies for enforcement of MCDR, 1988.
- Supervising the preparation of mineral maps with forest overlays at the Head Quarter and also preparation of National Mineral Inventory in respect of leasehold areas on regular basis.
- To examine/inspect geological and environmental/technological aspects of mining plan/scheme and furnish comments on the same.
Probation: One year
Head Quarter: Nagpur with liability to serve anywhere in India.
Other Details: General Central Service, Group ‘A, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
