Overview of Role:
Reporting to the Development Manager this technical role covers development and maintenance of in-house systems, infrastructure projects and other general technical tasks. Responsibilities include technical and user support as well as all aspects of development and implementation of system functionality as directed. We are looking for developers who work with either the .Net stack or Java stack.
Key Responsibilities:
- The job holder will design and develop, maintain and support database procedures, functions and schema as directed.
- Participates in the technical design, development, and implementation of distributed application systems.
- Utilizes various programming languages to develop distributed applications, creates test transactions, and writes documentation that describes installation and operating procedures.
- S/he also utilizes standard procedures and techniques to write new programs of moderate complexity.
- S/he develops and makes technical recommendations for distributed applications that support organizational needs.
- Experience of web-based and client/server technologies.
- Experience of providing user and technical support for financial systems.
- Excellent programming skills.
- Experience of SDLC methodologies including waterfall and agile.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
