Description:

Portland Group's Delivery Manager provides invaluable management level leadership to all accounts.
He/ she will be are closely involved in the day-to-day output delivery for our clients and team.
This role will be as the team lead of the Portland Group engagement with Infosys BPO Sourcing and Commercial.
He/ she will be will act as the focal point of the Portland Group team for sourcing execution, making operational decisions, resourcing work allocation planning, maintaining the quality of the team’s output, and managing the overall performance of the team.
He/ she will be will be the main liaison and point of escalation for workflow and issues management.

Education:

Demonstrated academic achievement with qualifications in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Law, or Science.
Masters degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Necessary Experience & Competence:

+7 years of work experience in sourcing, category management, procurement, analysis, and reporting
Some experience in either a procurement (preferred), BPO, corporate, or professional services environment
Strong and proven track record (5 or more people) in team leadership, including resource planning, personnel development, and performance management
Strong analytical skills
Capable of thinking critically at a situation and identifying opportunity areas
Ability to prioritize tasks often within tight deadlines
Ability to work with international teams and take directions
Proficiency in MS Excel (essential) including working knowledge of filters, sorting, pivot tables, basic formulas, VLOOKUP, advanced formatting techniques, and advanced data manipulation techniques
Highly valued skills include workflow tools (including eSourcing tools) like Ariba Sourcing (important), Ariba Supplier Performance Management (important), Procuri, Iasta, Zycus, ERP eSourcing modules at advanced level, MS Access (additional), VBA Macros (additional), BI tools (additional), or other spend tools (additional)

Role Activities:

Support Portland Consulting and Managed Services projects
Act as the leader of a Sourcing, Procurement and Operations team, executing intermediate and complex sourcing projects from start to finish, including but not limited to – sourcing requests validation per client guidelines, requirements analysis for the bid packages, communicating with client requesters to close any data gaps, prepare and publish the package to the identified suppliers for bidding purposes, following up with suppliers to ensure adequate participation, and summarizing proposals back to the requestor.
Act as the first point of escalation with the team and client, communicating and resolving operational issue
Manage project pipelines, assign projects to team members based on availability
Manage resource capacity of their delivery team, so they can ensure support of client requirements and balance the team’s workload
Manage Reverse Auctions and eRFx's
Lead sourcing teams through all key phases such as data collection, Rfx/ reverse auction build-out, analysis and strategy development, through Rfx award recommendation
