Description:
- Responsible for the management of raw material supply to the plant.
- Responsible for managing raw material flow valued in excess of $250 million annually to maintain inventories for meeting plant production schedules.
- Plan, coordinate and expedite all raw materials into the plant, including placing and releasing orders to the SAP system.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee All Raw Materials for Mt. Vernon with emphasis on Natural Rubber and Synthetic rubber.
- Manage SAP Procurement system based on production needs and SAP for Mt. Vernon.
- Ensure Effective communications with Corporate Purchasing to successfully manage Raw Material shortages to maintain a filled pipeline to meet production needs.
- Raw material transfers between plants.
- Maintain effective communications throughout the plant, to include operations, mixing and production to adequately inform them of emergencies.
- Enter appropriate Goods Receipt Data in BPS SMART.
- Perform duties of co-workers when on vacation or absent.
- Perform other duties as directed by Purchasing or Operations Manager.

Experience:
- Associates Degree desired or 5 years experience required.
- 5-10 years of Purchasing, procurement, and/or expediting
