Position Overview:
The Program Manager will be responsible for assisting in delivering large-scale, complex programs that marry processes with technology to help our clients achieve high performance and drive collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements master project plans and risk mitigation plans.
- Manages project teams across all phases of the project life cycle.
- Prepares statements of work for large project engagements and monitors performance to ensure that project commitments are met as specified in contracts.
- Oversees assigned personnel for project. Assigns work and provides direction with regard to timeliness and completion of project objectives. Addresses performance issues within prescribed guidelines. Provides performance input upon completion of project.
- Customizes methodology to meet specific project.
- Approves approach and techniques that will be used to analyze the functional business area .
- Understands how information systems can enable the redesigned business process .
- Influences decisions and project direction at the executive level.
- Participates in proposal efforts.
- Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years healthcare experience
- Revenue cycle application implementation experience, healthcare information technology or consulting experience.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of healthcare services, HIT, regulatory requirements, clinical data management and project management
- Communicate project status on a regular basis to management
- Experience managing Revenue Cycle projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Five or more years of experience planning and managing medium to large-sized projects of medium to high complexity including planning, budgeting, resource management, deliverable development, timelines, issues and risks
- Experience developing and executing project plans utilizing a project management methodology and project planning tools
- Experience implementing and managing a system implementation
- Skilled in developing performance expectations
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguity
- Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action
- Must be willing to travel extensively
